I finally got the lap quilt done! I got the pattern from
Layer Cake, Jelly Roll & Charm Pack Quilts by Pam and Nicky Lintott. It's the first quilt I've ever done, and I really enjoyed it. I used
this tutorial for the binding and it came out perfect the first time. Seriously awesome.
I'm almost finished with the top of Savi's quilt - I'm using
this Moda Bake Shop Tutorial to make it and it's been even faster than the first one. Plus I have a quarter inch foot now for my new machine and that helps alot.
See you guys in a day or two with another skirt tutorial - this one's for a pleated skirt, elastic waist - easy!

Hi Jenna. I'm so glad I found you as a follower of my Diana's Sewing Lessons Blog. I'm not a quilter but am trying my hand at quilting by making a Christmas quilt. As a beginner,I love the idea of being able to follw you on yours.
ReplyDeleteLove this quilt and it looks doable too.
Thanks very much.

ReplyDeleteAwww, thanks so much! I love your blog - it's really useful! I just ordered a tailors dummy because I'm getting frustrated making straight skirts - I'm too curvy and darts are going to be way easier on a dummy...i hope! I'm really new to making my own clothes; usually it's just handbags and backpacks.
Good luck with your quilt! Show us when you get the top done! I don't know tons about quilts, but do have useful quilting links on the links page you can check out if you get stuck!

Your quilt tops are terrific... You have really found your talent:) Now, I need to get busy and finish Marcus' quilt ->just got the backing, batting and binding to do. Wished we lived closer so we could have a sewing day together. Love you. Say 'Hi' to Savi and Buzz:)
